He was regarded as one of Hollywood’s rising stars. With an Oscar nomination for Brokeback Mountain Heath Ledger had just finished filming the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, when his death at 28 was announced.

For those that are interested…Heath Ledger was working on another film when he died. Terry Gilliam’s Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The role Ledger had played is being taken up by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell. Ledger’s scenes might remain in the movie.

Ledger was a rising star. I’m sure that the new Batman movie will do really well because people will want to see Ledger one last time in his last work.
