I’m not a news junkie. I’m a Saturday morning cartoons with sugary cereal junkie. I leave the news and politics to my girlfriend. Want to know why? Here are three reasons

Schneider, McLaughlin, and Carville. I’m giving them names because without them they’d all look like cue balls with glasses wearing ties. I guess it was Wednesday night when my girlfriend was watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and I heard her say, “Well hello there…” Immediately, my head popped up from the Daredevil comic I was reading.

Girls…we’ve all heard that phrase. It usually comes when you’re at a bar and some hot thing walks thru the door and you have to immediately pull in the reins and remind your girlfriend about how cool monogamy is in the lesbian community.

So coming at 11PM while she’s watching MSNBC threw me off just a tad.

Like I said…I don’t watch the news…it’s depressing and too graphic. I watch horror movies instead. So I didn’t know that MSNBC has a new political analyst…Rachel Maddow.

Well, there was Dr. Maddow, giving quite the intelligent review of Clinton’s dwindling numbers in Pennsylvania, and I’m sitting there with my jaw on the issue #105 of The Man Without Fear, thinking…can it be…a lesbian…under 60…under 50…dare I say under 40…giving an incredible analysis on MSNBC? Yes folks it’s true. Hired in January of this year, Dr. Maddow (age 35) is now a political analyst for the network, and a regular panelist for Race To The White House.

She has degrees from Stanford and Oxford and is a Rhodes Scholar…cue balls with glasses…corner pocket.

I went on Air America Radio, where she has a show. On the Air America website you can get podcasts of her shows…which I did…and listen…which I did: The Rachel Maddow Show

You guessed it. She’s witty. She’s sarcastic. Those facts and figures are there, but she gives them to you with a wickedly dry dialog and it’s not all political. There’s a part of the show called “Ask Dr. Maddow”. I’m racking my brain, trying to think what the hell do you ask a Rhodes Scholar? Seems her fans ask her just about anything, as this video shows:

So that’s about it…I’m watching a political analyst now, or at least downloading a couple of her show’s podcasts and getting some of her drink recipes off the web.
