Jezebel: “Feel this sweater! There’s no better than authentic Irish setter,” go the immortal words once sung by Mr. Burns and, as it turns out, you can make a sweater out of the fur of an Irish setter or any other dog for that matter. And you don’t even have to hurt your dog to do it. French photographer Erwan Fichou has taken a series of portraits of dog owners wearing sweaters made from hair shed by their pets and the dogs responsible for doing all the shedding. The photos and subjects are oddly enchanting and heartwarming. Waste not, want not, after all.
I was at a knitting show where a lady was spinning wool off the pet angora rabbit at her side, she would just yank fur off the bunny (the rabbit didn’t mind one bit so it must have been loose) and spin it.

No matter how long, an hour or five seconds, if I leave my dogs outside they come back in stinking. I don’t know what causes it, but imagine getting caught in the rain in one of those coats.
